Lucy began dancing in 1986 with Creative South Asian dancer Bisakha Sarker in England. She studied Bharata Natyam for 3 years. Lucy studied Odissi dance with Shankar Behera, of Mumbai, disciple of Kelucharan Mahapatra.   

 

Lucy was dancer in Sanchari dance Company, performing throughout U.K. In 1995 she performed at Sri Aurobindo Ashram Auditorium, PondicherryIndia.

 

 

After 10 years of focusing solely on Odissi dance, Lucy began to experiment with bollywood and Egyptian dance, and then classical Indian Kathak dance with award winning Kathak dancer Saswati Sen, disciple of Birju Maharaj.  In 2005 she danced at Edinburgh International Festival in Kadam Dance`s creative south Asian dance production of The Art Of Travel.

 

 

She regularly performes as a solo dancer and with Apsaras.
